Agents Need Portable Credentials
Projection: A2A makes cross-agent exchange explicit; current MCP servers connect those agents to services. Interorganizational work may require portable credentials carrying owner, authorization, and policy metadata. Adoption remains uncertain, and the concept fails if identity cannot be verified and revoked across both the communication and tool layers.
Why this idea is here
What the evidence establishes.
The A2A community releases v1.0 as a stable, production-ready agent-interoperability standard that complements tool-and-context protocols; Google Cloud adds current MCP servers connecting agents to cloud data and services through a standard interface. These are source-backed premises for this projection; they do not by themselves prove broad adoption or the eventual outcome.
