Construction Robots Start With Retrofit
Projection: Robotics-ER provides spatial reasoning, planning, success detection, and instrument reading; DeepMind’s local VLA shows low-latency adaptation from demonstrations. Construction robots may enter through inspection, measurement, documentation, and worker assistance in existing buildings. The forecast needs safe performance under the variability that makes retrofit sites difficult.
