Before a long task, show an editable plan: assumptions, evidence needs, permissions, checkpoints, and stopping conditions. Early visibility lets the user steer before execution becomes expensive and catches scope drift while it is still reversible. Collaboration needs a shared object, not a stream of confident progress messages.
