Private Local-Cloud Model Partitioning

Inference: Apple’s AFM 3 family pairs private on-device models with Private Cloud Compute, while its current framework exposes model interfaces to developers; Google DeepMind provides a separate on-device robotics VLA. Hybrid systems can keep sensitive context and simple actions local while escalating harder computation to controlled servers, but universal dynamic routing is not yet demonstrated.

Why this idea is here

What the evidence establishes.

Apple documents third-generation AFM 3 models spanning on-device and Private Cloud Compute plus current framework access; Google DeepMind documents a locally running robotics VLA. Dynamic local-to-server routing is the labeled editorial inference.
